Similar to an earlier question on this forum, when i try and open a file in tmpg to convert to mpeg i get the error message about unsupported files.  I dunno why this is as i\'ve used gspot to check the codec and it says that i have the appropriate one installed. Any help???  Thanks for all advice

If you tell me what type it is a can have a look, but usually TMPGEnc does not have trouble with MPEG streams. Maybe it\'s the audio?

checked the codec in gspot and i have two compliant codecs for video which i think is xvid and have two compliant for audio which is mpeg 1 lay or something.  would be really cool if could help me out as i have quite a few files that i wana convert into dvd format but i cant at the mo

Is this he only Xvid encoded file that does this to you or do all of the files encoded Xvid do this?

install the new xvid:
http://koepi.roeder.goe.net/

and test.....if don\'t work, post your .avs script and all details possibles like:
tmpgenc version,avisynth version,filters version...etc, we need details!
