I used Cucusoft to convert an avi file to a mpeg file and then IfoEdit
to take the video and audio created by the Cucusoft to create a DVD.
The audio sync seems way out of wack. It would seem like that problem would be with the program, IfoEdit, separating the two initially. Anyone used this pgm before?

Hi,

I tend to stay away from it as I use this quick effective method:

[ol]
[li]Convert avi file into a DVD compliant mpeg using the MainConcept Mpeg Encoder (2 hours max!).
[li]Put into TMPGEnc DVD Author to make menus chapters etc and most important, the vob files!
[li]Burn using Nero etc.

That\'s it, the best quickest method. The whole conversion to DVD should take about 2hrs 45mins tops!!

Hope this will help the processs from AVI ~ DVD more easy.[/ol]

This one area I am shaky on. I took a 640x480 avi file and converted it to a 720x480 mpeg file and burnt same. Was not too good. Tried converting to a 480x480 SVCD and it was better. I imagine there are other variables that enter into the \"best\" mpeg format to go to but I don\'t know them. I need a program that will take an avi file and do the thinking for me. Will this program you mentioned, MainConcept Mpeg Encoder, do this for me and where do I purchase same? Thank you much.
