I am trying to convert mpg2 files to dvd. I tried to add file but it showed up an error screen stating that:
1)The video resolution 480x480 cannot be used for a standard dvd.
2)The video frame-rate 29.97 fps cannot be used with 480x480 resolution.
3)The video GOP is too long.

Now what I downloaded is 480x480 resolution. When I play the file in my dvd program it shows it as widescreen; however, when I play it in windows media player it squezzes it into fullscreen. Think someone can help me out. If I fix problem one it should fix problem 2.
Also what is problem 3 about???
Thanks alot,
Newbie to DVD-burning

I am using windows xp.

Try using the guide with TMPEGEnc to encode your file to a DVD MPEG2.
