Compatibilty with DVD Decrypter
«

I have recently downloaded DVD Decrypter as one of mates instructed me to so i could copy my DVD\'s on to Hard Disk. When i open it up in the log box it comes up with: W 17:29:17 Drive C:\\ (FAT32) does not support single files > 4 GB. I have tried copying a DVD but it estimates it will take 1hr 40mins.

If you have windowsXP I suggest you update your file system to NTFS.
If not then select in the IFO mode to split the file to 1GB as this is the biggest your file system can handle. Actually if you are copying the files only you will have no problems as the VOB files are up to 1GB, if you want to create an ISO (DVD copy when DVD is under 4,38GB) you should go to settings-> ISO Read Mode and select File splitting -> 1 GB.
Then select the MDS file DVD Decrypter creates and you will be able to burn the disc.

Thankyou for the reply. But the problem still persists.
I have an old computer. PenIII 333 i think and running win98. I have a pioneer DVD/RW burner which is x4 burn i think. But the read speed says its doing 1,300 KB/s (1.0x) and estimates it will take 1hr 40mins. I know have 100Gb of room so that cant be the issue. Im just about the redo the whole system and put Xp on but anyone with some advice would be very helpful?
Cheers

Some Pioneer drives are locked to 2x for ripping.
Maybe you have to flash a firmware that unlocks that, tell me exactly your model to try it out.

The model number of my pioneer is DVR-A05.
Since you seem to know a lot i thought i would also ask what the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R. Mine is minus, does this mean i have to use special disc\'s?

You\'ll have to use this firmware to make your driver rip faster: (actually it could rip to 12x!)
http://pioneerdvd.rpc1.org/DVR-105%20v1.33%20-%20RPC-1%20+%202xDVD-R%20+%2012xRip.zip
Go to this page for all the links and instructions:
http://kickme.to/dvd105s
I suggest you use this program for flashing your drive:
http://gradius.rpc1.org/DVRFlash%20v1.1.zip
Remember use it in your own risk and with caution.
You should need DVD-R discs, as these are the only that your burner burns.
