How do I change my GOP on an mpg movie so I can use tmpgenc DVD Author to burn it to a disc?

Sorry this post did not go to the unread posts page for some reason.

Explain to me what you want to do, if the file is MPEG1 or 2 DVD-ready you can use it in TDA, if not you have to re-encode it first using a program like TMPGEnc.

I am not sure about the file type is the problem. all I know is that it they are mpg format. its 3 parts. 3 mpgs.
When I put it into TDA it gives me an error about the GOP being the incorrect size and wont let it load the clips into the DVD.
Thats really all I can tell you, thats why i asked if there was a way to check all the movie\'s specs so I would know what i need to convert.
