I am having a problem, when I use the Program \"Fair Use\". It seems like an easy program to use, and understand.  The problem, I am having is, after the progam is finished, I get a file with Audio, but no Video. I have followed the directions to use the program to the letter. I have tried to rip, the DVD twice, but with the same result. I get 6 FUD Files, and 1 Audio File, But No Video File.

I am using 98SE, 500MHZ, 13GB HD. I lie the program, very Much, but this is my only problem. Can someone please help, and tell me what I am doing wrong.

Forgot to mention, I am using version 0.41b.

 Thanks In Advance...

It seems like the audio and the video have not been multiplexed. Are you sure there is not a video file? Have a deeper look, maybe it\'s not named .avi.

Is there any way that you can encode the movie and keep an eye on it? Do you get a dialog a the finish that says that everything is OK?
Make sure you go to the options (click the button in the first screen) and there select Expert settings -> use internal DivX and XviD codec.
Make sure you rip another DVD also, because something may be wrong with the disc.

Let me know what you find out.

The options, that you mentioned, I did that in the begining, with the same results. One question I have is, in the options section, is \"Delete Intermediate Files\" Suppose to Be checked? In fact here is what is checked there.

 1 Delete Intermediate Files
 2 Boost Audio Level
 3 Generate Unique Filenames
 4 Enable Expert Mode
 6 AVI
with the Divix & Xvid Codecs Checked
along with Create VBR Mp3. Thanks again

You should better deselect the VBR Mp3.

Evrything else seems OK. I will try to do a research and see if I find anything.

I can\'t think of something more and I am suprised that you don\'t get an error message or something. I will try and search in other pages, but it is pretty weird. Maybe you haven\'t got the codec\'s installed?

Use internal codecs. Also go to http://fairuse.free.fr and download the latest debug build (small link under the main download, it may fix your problem.

I am having a different issue with my audio.  I completed the entire process but when my movie plays I am able to watch the movie but the audio is the commentary. Is there anything special I need to do in order to listen to the movie itself and not have the commentary?

When you add the audio track, you selected the commentary instead of the normal one. You need to do the encoding again. Note which one is the normal audio and select this.
