Hello,

Heres some info on the file i am using,

I have just converted the above file to MPEG2 NTSC for burning to a DVD-R disk.

I used TMPGEnc to covert the divx file to MPEG2.

There was no audio when it was coverted to MPEG2.

I used Goldwave to extract a .wav file from the divx file.

When i had extracted .wav file i used ffmpeggui to change it to a AC3 file.

I then used TMPGEnc DVD Author to make the DVD, using the MPEG2 and the AC3 audio.

Now when i am playing it in my DVD player you can notice the sound is not spot on with the video  :?:

I read this in the FAQ,

Quote
If you get Audio errors, Audio out of sync problems or No Audio at all
Try to convert the audio to WAV audio before converting and use the WAV as audio source. (TMPGEnc can\'t handle VBR MP3 and AC3 that well)

Do you think the above will fix my problem ?

Cheers

Yeah, export the file as a wav and convert it to MP2 using BeSweet. In this situation AC3 is also a waste of time as the quality is not so good!
Make sure that video and audio have the same fps too.

Just to make sure i have it right,

1)Excrate the .wav file from the divx file.

2)Use ffmpeggui to change the .wav to MP2 (what bitrate do u recommend, its set to 192 ?? should i higher it Huh)

2)Using TMPEGnc econde the .mp2 file and divx file to MPEG2.

I can do this my adding the video and audio seprate at this stage in TMPEGnc,

3)When its converted to MPEG2 use a DVD author to make the DVD

That sound right  :?:

This bitrate is very high, use something like 224 or 192 kbps.

The other mistake is that you should add the audio file in TMPGEnc DVD Author and not TMPGEnc. Just encode the video in TMPEGEnc.

Thanks for all the help afonic  Cool

I have created the MP2 file now with a bitrate of 192kbps (ment that on my prev post not 1942 lol)

Gonna wait untill tomorrow and encode the video.

How can i make TMPGEnc just encode the video ?

Hopefully all will be sorted then.

I have just opened the .avi file in virtualdubmod before i start to encode it and looked at the file information,

If i am reading that right the audio is just alittle slower than the video ?

Am i correct ?

If so how can i correct it ?

Sorry but where you see that the audio is slower?

To encode only video select ES Video only in the main TMPGEnc window.
