If I author using AC3 audio when I play it back after authoring there is no sound and the video plays back in slow motion. I have checked that it is playing at the normal speed. If I author using a wav file then the playback is okay, however the file is too bnig to write to DVD

I used Besweet to change wav file into AC3

Can anybody help. Tongue [/code]

Hi,
Have a look here to find instructions about AC3 audio:

Thanks,

I have already used this guide, but to no avail.

i think I may have put you on the wrong track. The original audio file was MPEG layer 3. I then converted to a wav file, then firstly with Besweet converted it to ac3 and then authored using TMPGenc DVD author. The result was no audio with the video in slow motion.

I then used ac3 machine to convert the wav file to ac3 again the same result.

If I author using the wav file I have no problems except the file is then too big for DVD

Can you help

Cheers

I don\'t understand. If your audio is MP3 why don\'t you load the whole AVI file (audio + video) in TMPEGEnc and follow the guide? Is it VBR Mp3?

No it isn\'t VBR MP3.
When you say load tmpgenc with audio + video do you mean the ac3 audio.

Otherwise if I use wav or MP2 the files are too big to burn

Thanks

You don\'t have to recode mp3 to AC3, you are using much space without improvement in audio quality.

If you just load the AVI file in TMPEGEnc and follow the steps I show in the DivX to DVD guide do you have a problem?
