Does nero version 5 burn miniDVD?
If so, how?
If not, which, aside from nero ultra (as mentioned in the guide) burning software does?

It\'s been awhile since I used version 5 but I don\'t beleive it does have the quick launch for miniDVD.  You can do it manually.

Simply choose a regular CD but create the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folder manually.  Copy all the files that DVD Shrink ripped to the VIDEO_TS folder.  Leave the AUDIO_TS empty.  Burn the disc.

If you\'re using the newest DVD Shrink then it makes the directories by default.  Otherwise you just have to create them.  Quite simple.  Just make sure they are in caps and in the root of the cd.

As always...test the ripped movie on your hard drive first to make sure its working before you burn it.

Let me know how it goes.

hy!
 Smiley

hints

in the video_ts folder put the files in alphabetical order turning the media playable.

choose in the nero \"new compilation\" :
CD-ROM (UDF/ISO)

in the tab \"file options\" tick in :
Iso level 1,
Mode 2/XA,
Iso 9660.

click in \"new\",
drag and drop your audio_ts and video_ts folders and burn!

Hi,
Thx for the guides.
Sorry for the delay, because my computer was stolen and I have to start from scratches.
Your method works, but the result is not as expected. There is a limit to the shrinking. I can shrink a 3 hour movie into 3 files of less than 700 mb each. The resultant discs play on my standalone, but there is a bit of motion jerkiness, possibly due to skipped frames. I\'ve made the movie into vcd (also 3 discs), the resolution is not as good as the miniDVD, but there is no motion jerkiness. The best result is encoding the movie into Xvid with a file of about 700 mb, but it is not playable on my standalone.

The jerkiness can often be fixed by lowering the burn speed.  Don\'t burn the discs at full speed.  Lower it down to 8X.

I\'ve not tried making a miniDVD but I think need to.

According to what I have read, Sizzle (Mac) will do miniDVDs. Need to investigate more.
