Probably there\'s just a problem with that drive. Strange but it seems like the only explanation!

this is the second same brand new dvd player i got...Smiley
both of them, brand new. both of them not playing that dvd mov.
I\'m pretty positive that type of dvd player (the sony one) doesnt read all kind of dvd..
LG does (at least that movie sony couldnt read..)

i\'m gonna keep LG and get rid of sony forever. That\'s it. No more struggle with this thing..Smiley
I will back up all my stuff with this with no hassle anymore.
Thx anyway,
ur forum rux!;)

Make sure the jumpers on the Drive is set to select cable or secondry Master and not on the same IDE cable which is on your Hard drive.

This will casue problems if you installed the drive on the wrong IDE cable.  Also make sure in the BIO\'s it starts up reading your floppy and then ROM drive and the hard drive.

Please also try installing this for mounting reason and more

adaptec download click here

If all esle fails then you just may need to flash your Bio\'s and update it.

My new LG GSA-4081B works just perfect!
no more prb. I could back up my dvds that sony couldnt read...
LG reads them all+it reads RAM too wich sony didn\'t..
Anyway, i can sleep in peace now:)
Really happy that i could change it for LG!
btw, could you tell me what you think about the specifications of this DVD drive or maybe if you have a nice site where i can benchmark my dvd drive. I\'m curious to know opinions from people about it...and comparing to other drives, what rating has this dvd drive.
Thx for ur help
regards,
