Hi everyone,

yesterday i had my first failure in dvd ripping with clonedvd2.
it took 13h. to ripp 1 dvd when in the end, there was no sound..Smiley
Here what i did. In the setup of clonedvd2, i\'ve seen title audio streams english pcm/2 and english dolby ac-3/6 with check marks. I think...and i am not sure...i unchecked these marks to improve quality...or one of these marks..
I think that was the prb of no sound on the dvd at the end of the process..
Now i would like to ripp it again and this time not touching these stuff..and my question is:
.Do you think it will take less time in the writting process? (Vs 13h.)
.i have stream preferences with uncheck marks options: audio channels (2 chan and 6 chan)
also audio encoding (pcm and dolby AC-3)
do i have to check one of these? or all of them? or leave them like that...
Maybe i should encode this time...
(btw what is \"audio streaming\")

thx for helping,

First of all what do you mean by 13h? 13 hours??? This is unbelieveable! It should not do more than 45-55 minutes!

Now about the sound problem, if you removed both audio tracks then it\'s logical that you have no sound. Try to remember!

well beleive it or not..it took me 13 hours to have the dvd without sound...
anyway, it was my fault as i was paying attention to quality of the video...i was playing with sound...checking and unchecking..and i probably clicked on \"next\" without checking marks on audio.
That\'s what happened...
i asked about audio encoding weither or not i have to check this marks...

You have to select at least one language stream in order to have sound.

But there is obviously something wrong with that 13 hour time! What PC do you have? Do all DVDs take the same time to be completed?

not at all!
it was the first time such thing happened...
i couldn\'t stop the process of writting..
i have AMD 1.01GHz ; 576 MB RAM ; XP
As i said before, this prb occured cuz i didn\'t uncheck the marks to improve quality...and forgot to check it back..
but anyway, i learned how long it could take with such mistake...
it was really awfull! 13 hours man! Smiley
Normally, it takes as you said before 45 min...even less depending what i\'m ripping..
anyway, i will try again and if u interrested i can post the time of writting process for those who want to know the diff. of time with sound and no sound.
that ripping was made on dvd \'robin williams-live on broadway\" 126 min.
( i recommend that dvd to everybody..R.Willams is a genius!)
Smiley
