Hey I know I am to read the guides and all but most confuse me; one guide says something and another the contrary and some are jus so different. If any of you guys have time I jus got a few easy (I think) ques about this video and how to burn it:

I have a .avi file which virtualdubmod says is 544x320 @ 25 fps (PAL) encoded by XviD Keepi\'s 0624 (whatever that is). It says in the nfo file that it\'s 810 kbps/1460 kbps video bitrate - I know this is like how much data per second there is for the movie...but why is there 2?
In virtualdubmod this is audio info:
  48000 Hz
  2 (stereo) channels
ACM Decodable (what is this?) MPEG-1 Layer 3(MP3)
  171 kbps

Now besides my little \"what is this\" questions this is actually my main:
I want to burn this to a dvd BUT I also have subtitles...which I also am not familiar at all with...I have a .idx file that is only 133kb and a .sub file which is 16mb....but I remember opening both in some program and both showing all the languages of subtitles = are they the same/link each other? Well I just want to know a way to burn those to DVD with subtitles. Also if I have another CD can I link it to load at the end of the first and include it on the menu or whatver? Heh sorry about the load of questions I\'m kinda new. Thanks for any help guys! =D

You should use this guide to encode the video:
http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides.php?category=othertodvd&name=tmpegenc

And then get DVD-Lab Pro, that is an authoring program that supports both menus and subtitles.

Yea I\'ve used mostly all tutorials around here and videohelp and doom9 and all render me to some problems. The ony you gave- the problem is my video is 4:3 (I think), and if I select PAL 16:9 on the first wizard screen it doesnt let me adjust bitrate. I want to make my video 16:9 so how would I do that with TMPGEnc?

Then select just PAL, not PAL 16:9. If you explain the problem better I may be able to help you.
