i love the fair use program but just recently something happened that i just can\'t explain. when first using the program, it only took between 15 - 20 minutes to build the program chain. now it takes between 6 - 8 hours and the video comes out looking real crappy. i\'m using windows xp and made sure the DMA setting was enabled but that did nothing. i could use some help here but just remember, i\'m a newbie!! thanks.

i didn\'t. but when the problem arose, i went on ahead and upgraded to 0.42a could this be why it\'s acting funny? if so, how can i resolve the problem? thanks again.

I don\'t know what the problem is, I never had such trouble. Do you remember installing any driver / program that may have caused this? Do all the other programs work fine?

nope. ever since i downloaded fair use, i\'ve been converting all my dvd\'s to divx to make back-up copies (plus i have a dvd player that plays divx files). anywho, i haven\'t done anything else with my computer except put in dvd after dvd. but could me upgrading be part of the problem?

I recently updated from 0.41b to 0.42a and found that video quality had reduced markedly ... there was a sort of sizzling effect around the edges of objects like some sort of edge enhancement gone mad!

I went back to 0.41b and the problem disappeared ... so, to prove the upgrade was the problem I upgraded again and got the same problem ... back to 0.41b and the problem disappeared again.

Can\'t say what is causing it ... I\'m not a programmer.
