Hi,
I\'m a total newbie to dvd r and haven\'t really any idea what i\'m doing, i\'ve read the guide for using tmpgenc but when i get to the final step the file size is 5329.43mb with video res at 352x576, video bitrate at 2000 kbits/sec, audio bitrate at 384 kbits/sec with auto select ticked. IF i change the video res to 720x576 the auto select box unticks, also if i change the makes file size % of disk capacity to 98% or 99% nothing happens and eventually goes back to 126.89%.
Please Help
I have some knowlegde of tmpgenc, i used to convert files for vcd\'s all the time but i thought i should go up market and do dvd.
On step 4/5 on tmpgenc in movie info it\'s got 352x576 25fps/ 48000Hz stero / 307 min  04 sec, i;m guessing this is where it\'s going wrong.

From the Common TMPEGEnc problems thread on the top of this page:

Quote
If TMPGEnc says that the video time / runtime is way too long
TMPGEnc keeps encoding after the end of video with only a black screen
Try change the directshow reader priority, in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 2 or to the top of the plugin-list and reopen the video.
If that doesn\'t help try convert the audio to WAV audio before converting and use the wav as audio source.
And if all that didn\'t help you can always use the source range to select exact what to encode, under Settings->Advanced in TMPGEnc.
