i have a few small vob files i would like to join and then import into TmpgEnc Author.  (There\'s a whole complicated backstory to why they need to be joined first...) I downloaded Vobedit and followed a guide, clicked join files, clicked okay, and nothing happened. Tried it three times. Surely this should be a simple thing to do? Am i misunderstanding what the program does? how can i join these files without converting them?
thanks,
frustrated newbie who feels a little less dumb than when she started but not very enlightened either...

Did you follow the guides on how to do this using vobedit , you may have missed the naming requirement part , the names need to be very specific or as you found out it wont work .

From what I recall , vob1 should be vts_01_000 , vob2 is vts_01_001 , vob3 is vts_01_002 , and so on .

I would also maybe use vidchanger to modify the internals so vob 1 has cell id 1 , vob2 has cell id 2 , so on .

Will have to test and see if audio has any problems , as all vobs would end up with cell id 1 after joining , another idea to tinker with later .
