I taped a tv program and would like to have just the audio on a CD.   I saw the guide and tried DVD Decryptor, but it doesn\'t allow me to use IFO mode, only ISO mode.  I ran it and it produced 3 files, an I00, I01, and an MDS file.  I didn\'t see a way to produce an AC3 file.

What do you mean it won\'t allow you to use IFO mode? You can\'t select it?

A pop-up window says:

UDF  File System Parsing Failed!

Device:  (lists my drive)

Reason:  Unable to find \'Video_TS\' folder.

Are you sure you have a DVD-Video disc in the in the drive?

For non DVD-Video discs, use \'ISO Read\' mode.

There seems to be a problem with your DVD. Open it in and see me what files and folders you see inside.

okay, I opened the DVD and this is what\'s inside:

Folder > Dvd_rtav
             > Vr_mangr.ifo (file)
             > Vr_movie.vro (file)

I used a Pioneer DVD Recorder with DVD-RW media.  Recorded great for viewing, but I wondered how I could convert it to CD for the audio only.

The truth is that I don\'t know. Maybe you use DVD+RW media but this disc does not have a DVD structure.

Ok.  I was going through the manual yesterday and I have an idea about why it won\'t work.  The recorder lets me format in two ways, VR mode and Video mode.  VR mode lets me edit the content and this is how I recorded this DVD.  I\'m going to try recording in Video mode and see what happens.

I am trying to rip the audio from a DVD and make a CD following the instructions from mp3-guides.com that say to use GoldWave and AC3 Filter in Step 5 of the help on the site listed below.  I ripped the audio and saved it ok but GoldWave won\'t open the file!  I already have AC3 installed and working and just installed GW but it doesn\'t seem to have any options for dealing with AC3 or VTS files.  Has anyone ever tried this?  Are these directions all wrong or what?

The directions are good, have you installed AC3Filter?
