Same step as b4.. when im selecting the video1.dat file then press open.. its jus stays frozen! I\'ve restarted my pc.. i\'ve re-installed tmpgenc and still no luck! It only opened the file that once!

Hi

I dont know if this works , but do give it a try.... seems like the video is give trouble

1) in the project Wizard 1/5, instead of using PAL , try PAL (16:9)
2) in the project Wizard 1/5, try using CBR Linear PCM Audio.

This is experimental though..

Maybe it\'s not your fault. Many of these old VCDs and SVCDs are not burned or converted correctly (the old tools like FlaskMPEG were not that good), so they contain many bad frames and other problems.

Try VCDGear and try to correct them, play around with the settings, you may get it right!

Ok.. i dont kno why.. but it opens the file when i\'ve only encoded 1 of the .dat files but it was when i had the other ones (video2.dat and video3.dat that it would freeze.. what does that mean? Video1.dat is only 9.09mb but the others are around 800-900!

These are new svcds.. i\'ve tried usin vcdgear.. but it didnt help.. u have no idea the amount of software that i\'ve d/led over the weekend jus to try and get this to work!

::Edit::

Ok i\'ve tried with the bigger dat files and it still works as long as theres only 1 .dat file in that location!
