Hi
Just trying to use dvdx2.2 to do an xvid backup. Followed the well written guide but when I hit the red button I get the following error message:\"size splitting does not work in 2pass avi mode. Nevertheless you can split by chapters.\"
What does this mean. I can\'t seem to find any setting which refers to splitting? What am I missing?
Thanks

Hi,
In the output settings select infinite in the \"Volume don\'t exceed\" option.

Thanks for the quick reply. It seemed to fix the problem but there is something else wrong. Now I get 2 error messages. the first says \"Stats file not found\" I click ok and then get this one \"AVI streamSetFormat(video)failed.Check AVI codec settings\" I am using the Koepi xvid codec and all settings for the project are exactly as stated in the Afonic guide. Any ideas?
Thanks

It looks like there is a problem with your first pass settings. Check them again and make sure that \"1st pass\" is selected, sometimes it changes by itself!

Thanks very much. That did the trick. The quality is amazing! Takes a bunch of time though, 5hrs for a 1:43 flick on a P4 2.4mhz. Still if a cheap set top player comes along then this will be fun. Thanks again
