Is it possible to burn a DVD straight away from .avi files? If so could someone please tell what program i need to do this because it is not possible with nero. Or do i have to convert them into some other form first? If so would there be someone kind enough to tell me which program i need to do this and put me in the right direction to a good guide. Many thanks in advance, any help much appreciated.

Out of them all,I\'d go with WinAVi.Its very easy,and very,very fast.You\'ll need to follow about 10 steps,but don\'t worry.After the first few times,you\'ll become a pro:

Many thanks, now when i converted my .avi file in WinAvi to dvd format i was left with a .vob file and a .nav file - is this normal? I tried to burn these on to a dvd disc with Nero 6 but it didn\'t accept the .nav file so i clicked continue and let it burn just the .vob file. Unfortunately, when it was done though, it wouldn\'t read in both my dvd player or PS2. So do you think if i re-do the DVD and burnt it with WinAVI (including the .nav file) that will make all the difference? Any help greatly appreciated.

See afonic, thats the same prob I have! HAHA! See.
Well for the playing on the PS2,you need a mod chip to do that, you can only read it on the dvd player. All so you need to make sure that you set the right read fourmat for the VOB in the winavi settings.I had to set mine to NTCS,because my dvd player can only read NTSC,As fo the .NAV and rest.I too am haveing the same bs too

As I replied before I don\'t have this problem. Try using the latest stable version (5.6) and we\'ll wait for willow (one of the developers) to come and help.
