Hi,

I need some help?

I have downloaded a movie, the framerate is 23.976fps. When I convert it to DVD 29.76fps and then play it on my standalone the movie is jerky, the picture looks as if it is playing quick.

I have used the guides, i.e. for TMPGEnc it tells you to use the 3:2 pulldown.

Can anybody help Tongue

Humm!

Even if your DVD player supports converting PAL to NTSC, the result could be a little jerky. (if your dvd player doesn\'t support converting PAL to NTSC, but tries to play the DVD anyways, the result could be very jerky or completely broken)

Converting PAL to NTSC is not always easy, but in this case it could be fix by slowing down the movie from 29.76 fps to 24/1.001 fps or the same and then doing a standard 3:2 pulldown and try this speed with your dvd. The audio would have to be resampled to match the new speed and then to a Dvd.

Also you can set the burn speed to 1x before burning to try to work around this.  Let me know.

Good luck
