Hi everyone,

I have the LG GSA-4081B. I don\'t know why i tried to backup couple of my dvds and it said : no disc
They are original movies. Brand new.
my media simply cant see them :/
I have to mention that most of the time, my backup works fine.
For these rare times i cant backup...any idea what can i do?
any program missing maybe? (i use clonedvd, i have dvd decrypter)

thx for answering,

Hi,

Just like to check with you, do you have only one optical drive or more? When you refer to no media present, are you referring to the original DVD or the DVD-R?? Are the Original DVDs of a different region code?

1.I have only 1 media.
2.I am reffering to the original DVD.
3.Region free. (+i have anydvd )

I am about to install the firmware wich i never did before...
do you think that could fix the prb?

Hi...

Hmmm the firmware patch may help, but usually it only helps with region restrictions, anyway if you feel that you are up to it and wish to try, do flash the firmware properly, or your DVD recorder will be damaged!!!

Post here on the results! All the best!!

I just updated with the latest firware.
It seems working fine with my dvds.
Now since i lend my dvds (the ones that turned out: no disc) to a friend to test them on his drive...i can\'t see the results right now if yes or no, the firmware fixed the prb..
Since i can see my other dvds...i hope it means that i didnt damaged my dvd player...:/
Thx for helping,

P.S: I will post as soon as possible the results concerning the \"no disc\" prb for those who are reading this topic.
