i have a dvd burner but no programs except the default ones that comw with the sony computers. i would like to burn lord of the rings and i have the files copied to my hard drive but i cannot seem to be able to comprss them onto a dvd+r disc to fit...can somebody help me?

You can try DVD Shrink. Go to the download section to get it.

i know i can use that but is there any possible way without it and if so, will it have good quality?

Yes DVD Shrink should do the job.

Read the guides - for LOTR make sure you use Re-author, copy only the movie and one sound track. Also use the start-end feature to remove the credits and do a high quality (deep analysis) encoding. After all these the quality should be great!  Wink
