I have a substantial collection of film clips that I have downloaded from legit sites.  My primary focus is racing and music.  I want to burn these to DVD so I can watch them on our wide screen HDTV.  I have seen several references to a product called DVDSanta that claims to be able to convert \"any\" file type to DVD compliant format.  Several file types are mentioned i.e. AVI, DIVX, etc., but not MPEG files.  Will this product enable me to convert these MPEG files to DVD compliant format and then burn them?  Also, is it possible to just drag and drop these clips into the Edit panel of MovieFactory 2.0 in Ulead VideoStudio 7.0 and accomplish the same thing?  The reason I ask is that when I capture the video from our Hi8 camcorder, I have the option of doing so in AVI or MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 format and then do the authoring and rendering and burn the fininshed product to a DVD all in the same product.  Would MovieFactory not just see these downloaded MPEG clips the same as if I had captured the video in MPEG format from my camcorder to begin with?  I have so much money invested in video and audio editing software, including NERO Ultra 6.xx, that I hate to spend more for another product if it isn\'t necessary.  I realize 29.95 isn\'t much, but it\'s harder to earn it than spend it!  Any help will be very much appreciated.  Thanks.
