I just purchased a Sony mini dvd camcorder(expensive but easy). The problem I am beginning to see is that each disk only records up to about 30 minutes of video.  I can burn one to one copies but I\'m leaving a lot of empty space on the dvd since its only 30 minutes.  I tried burning the home video with dvd decryptor onto my harddrive, then using dvd shrink to burn to dvd.  Then when I loaded the second mini dvd onto hard drive, I tried to burn the second video onto same dvd but the software would not allow it b/c the disk was not empty.  Can someone help me?

Hi,

Perhaps you can check out the manual to see how to change the video resolution or audio bitrate to allow longer recording.

(Refer to http://www.dvd-guides.com/content/view/16/59/)When u use DVDShrink, at 1 click on DVD_Video and at 2 instead of leaving it at automatic, choose custom, use the slider and lower the size till about 2 GB+ or 4.5/x where x = the number of DVDs you wish to put on one DVD. But remember when shrinking a DVD, quality drops.

This is an optional Step. Burn it on a DVD-RW/+RW and see the results before finalising it to a DVD-R

Thanks for the help guys.  I played around last night and think I may have figured it out.  I opened as many folders on my desktop as I had mini dvd\'s.  Then I used dvd decryptor to burn each of my mini dvd\'s onto a respective folder on desktop.
Then, I opened dvd shrink and used the re-author button.  I clicked the drop down menu dragging from right to left only what I wanted from all the folders from desktop that I\'d copied mini dvd\'s to.  then I burned it all to one single dvd.

JC:
If you read this..........how did your final dvd turn out?
I have been struggling with the same issue and recently posted a HELP ME post.
I used the dvd decrypter & then dvd shrink but my final dvd seems to freeze up the video where the audio continues.
