Hi

I\'m currently using the latest version of nero (including latest updates), to burn several slideshows and .avi files to dvd.
I had problems with the .avi files after transcoding/burning - nero recognised and played them no problem until they were burnt on the disc, then they appeared as grey movies (sound, no picture).
I overcame the problem by converting the .avi\'s in nero to mpeg-2 format, and they\'re now watchable, but the quality has degraded - presumably because they were compressed when converted.
I\'m considering using Quicktime to convert to mpeg-4, and giving this a go, in the hope that the quality might be better.
I know virtually nothing about codecs and the best formats.
The only programs I have are nero and quicktime (and dvd shrink and decrypter for dvd authoring stuff)
Can anyone give me any advice - in plain, easy to understand language?!
Sorry, I\'m learning, but there\'s so much to learn!

Well converting to MPEG4 is absolutely useless if you want to convert to DVD.
Just use one of these guides and forget about Nero, video converting it\'s not that good in it:

Check my guide of using cucusoft, it's an all-in-one solution, and works great
