hi, im trying to burn a dvd from Divx avi files, im using tmpg enc plus to encode and tmpg enc DVD author to author and burn, problem is, i dont understand how to make more than one encode that will fit in my dvd, cause every time i encode a file it becomes so big, that only that file will fit... what can i do to encode at least 3 files to fit in a dvd? i tried joining them with virtual dub, but i get this error message :\"...video streams have different sampling rates\". If the solution is joining, how do i fix this? PLZ HELP!!!!!!!

by the way, i read the guide about joining different files as one with tmpgenc... should i set the environmental settings as instructed and then just add one file by one as a batch encode? or if im to add all three at the same time plz explain how

What do you mean that the files are too big?
In Step 5 select 32%, doesn\'t this help?

ive done that already, but it doesnt seem to work, heres what ive done so far: i set the environmental settings so that videos that end in numbers are taken as one (at least that what i understand that option does), then i do according to your guide for all my files, which end in 01, 02, and 03 respectively, but instead of creating a single, aprox. 4.7 GB file it starts creating 3 (im not sure what size they end up being, i really dont want to wait for all 3 files to encode to discover i made a mistake), is this supposed to be this way? what am i doing wrong?

Are the three files the same movie or different ones?

Just encode each of them by it\'s own, setting the disc usage at 32%. Have you got a problem with that?

well, sort of, last time i tried i got 3 4.7 files, im guessing this could have happened if i didnt set batch encode or maybe something went wrong when i set disk space...dont remember well though, ill try as batch encode on all 3 and see what happens, just to make sure, all 3 files im encoding should add up to roughly 4.7 gyga\'s once their encoded right?

Yeap, if you set the disc usage to 32% for each of them, they will all be a little less than 4.38MB in the end. Then you can author the DVD and add a nice menu that will help you select the one you want.

Try to fix the video BEFORE you encode to MPEG2. Load the DivX file in VirtualDub and chop the last frames or use a utility like VideoFixer that can find and correct any mistakes automatically.
