Hello,

I am new to this so go easy  Cool

I have a moive that i want to put on a DVD-R disks.

I used TMPGEnc to encode it as the Guide said http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides.php?category=othertodvd&name=tmpegenc

Once that was encoded to MPEG2 i used TMPGEnc DVD Author to copy it to a DVD-R as the guide I played it in my DVD player and it was working fine  :DGot 20 minutes into the moive and the picture frooze, timer kept on counting up on DVD player. I fast forward the DVD for a few minutes and the movie started again, it had skipped some of the moive out. Now it was playing again but with no sound   Any ideas why it did this ? also how to fix it ?Cheers

Does it play OK in your PC?

I tried it on my PC and it played, but when i tried to fast forward the movie it frooze my system.

Was trying to play it in Windows Media Player 9.

Because it kept on freezing i could not move it to the place where it frooze in my DVD player.

Cheers

If the DVD files that you have created play OK it\'s a burning problem.

If they don\'t then the problem is on authoring, if the MPG file is OK of course. Can you check all this out? It\'s difficult to find  the problem in a process of so many programs, that\'s why I ask all these!

Well i just started it off encoding again.

Was going through it fine, untill it got to the same point again.

The preview picture in TMPGEnc frooze at the same point as last time.

So it sounds like a problem with the moive file i have downloaded right ?

Maybe, yes.

Try to use a program like VideoFixer that will try to repair the file.

You can find it at this site:

Cheers for that link.

It is defenitly a problem with the moive i have downloaded, when watching it on PC it reachs the point and restarts to the begining.

Hopefully this program can fix it  Cool

/EDIT

How long does it normally take for the program to fix files ? (its 700Mb file)
