Hi,
I want to make a DVD that could be watched on a stand-alone DVD player (the player can work with avi files ie. divx xvid etc\').

I know that i must put the avi files on the DVD as data.

The question is: can somone plz explain to me how i can add a menu to this DVD (a menu that will work on the stand-alone DVD player) i need only a simple one.

Any ideas or software i need or a guide ?
 Thanx in advance!

If you have a standalone DivX player and you want to create a menu for a DVD full of DivX movies, I\'m afraid you can\'t.  Sad

u can use dvd lab pro to put multiple movies on 1 dvd and create your own menu with it with sub menus and all. its a great program, not very easy to use in the begining, it just doesn\'t look like any other easy to use program like winavi or whatever. but its very powerfull(But don\'t come asking around how the program works...)
i\'ve been busy for with the program for a couple of days and after a few days i came up with some really cool dvd\'s with menu\'s and al the extra stuff u want (moving pictures and argh.. just all u want to create u can do with that program.

Hi again,
I am sorry to be \"a nagg\", but in their site there is no mention if this software can work with avi files without converting them.

I just need to add a simple menu to a callection of avi files that i wont to put on one DVD (without converting the files) and to be able to read this menu in a stand alone DVD player.
thanks for the help

To create a DVD menu you need to author a DVD disc, so no, you cannot add menu to a DVD disc containing DivX files.

A silly question but y would u want to keep a divx or avi format to put on a dvd disc??? I maybe wrong about this but i thought dvd qulity was better than avi...plus you can fit more than 1 but recomended not more than 2 on 1 dvd+r.
Oh .... i just converted 2 vcd\'s to dvd format and now burning to 1 dvd+r all done with nero6.
