ffmpegGUI

Very simple and fast AC3, MPA/MP2 audio encoder tool.
Open WAV, MP3, AVI video, MPG video and convert directly
to AC3 or MPA/MP2 audio in one step.

and the better...is free!

thanks !

i\'m doing tests...

using dvd Mana mtv unplugged
(the audio volume of this dvd is not loud but is clean!)
i demux the audio and video streams with vobedit.

then i load the ac3-2 channels in headac3he and encode as wave
normalization at 100% in 48k(without downsample)!

i take this wave in ffmpegGui to convert again to ac3-2 channels
to compare the general quality with the dvd source.
results:
ffmpegGUI is stable and faster.
give less volume and treble comparing with the source.

now my surprise:
i take this same wave and load in sonic foundry soft encode,
adjust to -31db(max) and (believe or not)
was needed 6 more time to encode!
give less volume than ffmpegGUI!
 Shocked

in the first sign ffmpegGUI is better!
of course,i will do more tests cos like i posted,
this dvd don\'t have high volume.

now i want to know if we can encrease the volume and  treble
using command line or another way!

any idea?

You did all that for testing right? Because there is no need to convert to WAV and then again to AC3. What I can suggest is to load the WAV into Goldwave and maximize the volume there and then encode to AC3.

right afonic, only for tests!

like i told i\'m testing the performance of the program and the audio quality!

i was normalized at 100% in HeadAC3he to got the wave...
i don\'t use goldwage (i know and used before..it\'s great) but
i open this wave in sound forge and the volume is in the limit.
if i encrease the volume in only one db give big clips...it\'s in the \"limit\".

Maybe it\'s an ffmpeg option that the GUI does not include. You have to check out the documentary.

right afonic...i need to learn \"command lines\"!

again to test i did:
original ac3-5.1 channels 384
original ac3-2 channels 192
soft encode ac3-2 channels 192
ffmpegGUI ac3-2channels 192
headac3he stereo mp2  192

like posted before the audio was demuxed with vobedit and
encoded as wave, 100% normalization without downsample(48k).
this wave was used to do the last 3 channels.

comparing the original ac3-2 channels testing dvd-rw in pc and in 2  players:

from:
soft encode with more \"middle\" , same volume.
ffmpegGUI less \"trebles\", less volume ( ~ -2db )
headac3he more presence and loudness(clear).

ffmpeGUI is faster, soft encode sounds better and
headac3he is really clear (stereo)

the best:
is the first dvd Mana mtv unplugged with 5 audio channels  :!:
 Cool

right my friend!

besweet (with gui) have seamless quality of headac3he!
but headac3 is a little better and faster!

in ac3-2 channels soft encode is winner and in mp2 headac3he is winner!

later i will test the surcode  :!:
