This goes to afonic, and anyone that wants to add their 2 cents

Back Story:

From the start of anime, most newbies tend to think that anything that has a mecha (massive fighting bot) is an eva rip off. To name a just a few animes that have mecha\'s as their main basis of polt:

Dual Parallal Trouble
Rhaphoxon
Gundam Seed/Wing
Blue Gender (though the size is about 1/5th the size)
Gatekeepers

Now, are we to say that every one of them is a EVA ripoff, yet some were made far before eva was ever made. I\'d hope not.

Now the post with the end of the world in anime has long been an idea used a many times. And why not, this is something that everyone of us thinks about; what would the end of the world be like, whats heven and hell like, is their a god.

Rhaphoxon for example has gone somewhat with this idea, but has changed it to outside invaders called \"the mue\" just as gatekeepers has an idea somewhat the same, by useing outside invaders and calling them \"the invidaers\"

Gundam seed/wing; goes a far diffrent path, were as it does not deal in the end of the world. But has huamn vs human figh eachother. True their is mechas, but let us spot the diffrences between them:

Gundam Mecha\'s are:

*More Massive, in X,Y,Z

*Are more non water movement, thus move more old school like robot style

*Dont look anything like the EVA\'s and have more of a mejsic feel and look to them

Now, lets look at EVA:

*More human movement and look

*Then bleed and can dide, unlike a GS/W mecha

*Think on their own

I now let my trun go to the next to see this ^_~

Well I didn\'t say it was a rip off. But except the mechs I noticed another big similarity:

The main character! I think they tried to make Seed\'s main character to be as sad-looking and melancholic as the one in Eva, but they are not very successful. Besides that, especially in the start, they both don\'t want to pilot these things but they are forced too. Except that they are both unique as only they can pilot them, for different reasons of course.

All I said is that Gundam Seed is influenced by Eva, and this is not always a bad thing.  Wink
