Good morning,

I am new here but not new to DVD burning etc. I have a large quantity of VCDS the majority of them being on 2 CDRS. I would like them to be all converted to DVD.
The second disc of the VCD always has like a 15 second overlap on them (last 15 secs of 1st disc repeated again on the 2nd disc) - how do I overcome that problem when merging them together to take out that overlap so that the finished DVD runs smoothly and would the proposed cut and join be noticible on the finished article.

Many thnx in anticipation

Use Tmpeg to cut the 15 seconds out of disc 1 then join the two.  The joint may be a little noticeable depending how well you work them together.

A better and easier way to join two VCDs together is to convert the two seperate CDs into DVD compliant mpegs, them add them into TMPGEnc DVD Author and use the Scene cutter in there to make the two files continue from where the 1st left etc.
It will show the two files like sperate tracks, but it will join them when converting them into a vob!

This way is so simple and the join is not noticeable at all!

Good luck - I migh even make a guide, so stay tuned!
