How to burn a DVD-Video using ImgTool, DVD Decrypter Print E-mail

This guide will show you how to burn a DVD Video disc using freeware tools ImgTool and DVD Decrypter. Burning a disc like this with a program like Nero is always a better solution because it takes less time, but of course I should show you this way as the tools we use here are freeware. Once again: if you have Nero or another similar program there is no reason to follow this guide.

What we are going to do here is to convert the files that DVD Shrink creates to a DVD-Video ISO file which DVD Decrypter can use to burn the disc. Remember that you should have at least 10GB of free space to do that. You can download both programs here.

Here we go. First of all we click the button I show with the arrow to select the source directory. Here is the most important thing in this guide: we we should not select the directory that has the files we created with DVD Shrink. The directory we will select should have inside only two folders: An empty AUDIO_TS folder and a VIDEO_TS folder where we will put our files. In my situation this folder is Disc1.

So: Create an empty folder, there create the folders AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. Leave AUDIO_TS empty and copy all the files into the VIDEO_TS folder. At this step select as source directory the folder we created first and not the VIDEO_TS folder which has the files.

Write VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS as you see them here (all caps and _ and not a -)

Click OK to proceed.

The rest are easy. Click the button I show to select the target file. Go somewhere outside the folder you created before, select ISO image as the file type, give it a name something.iso and click Save.

Now select the Volume of your DVD(the name that you see in My Computer when you enter a DVD in the dive). And then click Image and wait about 15-20 minutes for the program to create the ISO file. Then close ImpgTool and start DVD Decrypter.

Change the Mode of DVD Decrypter at ISO -> Write as the picture shows if it is something else.

Now click the button I show and select the file we created before and click Open.

Finally just enter an empty DVD-R in your drive and click the button the arrow shows to begin burning. End.
