How to copy DVD-5/9 using DVDXPress |
This guide is here to show you how
you can easily copy a DVD-5 or a DVD-9 using DVDXpress, an excellent
product by XSoftware. If you are a newbie with all this, or you just have
little time, that's the best way to do it as DVDXpress is an one-click DVD-copying
program. Load the disc, click start and
you're done!
You can obtain a copy of DVDXpress by clicking here.

When it starts, you see the disclaimer screen. Read it and press I Agree to get through. Note that you should already have inserted the DVD you want to copy in the drive. |

Here we are in the main window. Things are rather simple here. If you want to copy the entire disc (menus, extras, etc) just select Entire Disc (3) and press Start. If you have a dual layer burner and you just want to copy the disc to a DVD-9 blank just select Double Layer (2).
Now if you want to copy just one audio track and maybe some subtitles, click Options (1) and read below! |

Select the Audio track you want (1) the subtitles you want (2), a folder for the temp files to be stored (3) and finally you video format you want to use (4). (this is useful only for DVDs containing both 4:3 and 16:9 format, which are very rare). Click Start and the copy starts!

First the program will read the DVD and apply the right compression for it to fit into a DVD-R. |
When this is finished you need to enter an empty DVD±R media and click Start again. |
Finally DVDXpress burns your DVD. Just with a few clicks and in less than an error you have a perfect backup copy of your DVD! |
You can get DVDXpress by clicking here.
Note
If you get a message like this it means you are copying a CSS encrypted DVD. Don't worry! Just go in here our downloads section to get a free program that will remove the protection on the fly. (it will just run in the tray and you can copy the DVD). |
